Build 9

I am calling Build 9 finished. This is exciting because that means I get to work on Build 10.

Build 9 was very significant to me. I think I spent the most time on it than any of the previous updates. During this build I became more confident than ever before with the engine; and I'm very proud of the work I've put in to this point.

I also struggled the most with this build when I realized how difficult it is to design a game. Not necessarily the programming or implementation side, but the "game" part. Sure I can make a UI and an inventory system and the foundation of the game but making something where you actually "do" something was far more difficult than I thought it would be. Not only was this kind of design difficult, but just deciding on what kind of game I want to make has been daunting. When I started the project I had an idea, but I have since changed my mind on its direction hundreds of times.

I intend for Build 10 to be the first build that will contain some kind of gameplay loop. This means most of the work will be outside of my editor and more on paper, creating some sort of design document. So I'm excited to plant the flag on this build and switch mindsets for this project.
